Celebrating Students, Faculty and the
Service-Learning Office During the Past 13 Years
Due to budget cuts in February 2008, the
office of Service-Learning and the position of Director have been
eliminated.
The Program Will Include:
~Welcome and introduction from UMF's chief administrative and academic
officers
~Recognition of students nominated for the UMF student Above and Beyond
awards
~Recognition of Faculty and Student's nominated for Maine Campus Compact
Awards.
~Special Program- "A student's perspective on Service-Learning"
Who Should Attend:
~Faculty who have offered and Students who have participated in a course(s)
with a
Service-Learning or Civic Engagement component from May 07-Spring Semester

~Student's and faculty who will be receiving awards
~Interested faculty, staff, students, and community partners
